Lea Nyland is a Scandinavian designer specializing in women's fashion. She has lived and worked all over the world counting Norway, Spain, Turkey, United States and United Kingdom. Currently she is based in Aarhus, Denmark.

Her aesthetic expression is best described as creative speculation united with her Scandinavian heritage of modern and functional. In her creations for Nyland Studio she leans towards contemporary modernity evoking curiosity by playing inventively with the female silhouette and construction. Her passion and drive when designing is to empower women through comfort and style.

At Nyland Studio we care about the foot print we leave on the planet, and try to incorporate as many sustainable practices as possible. Currently we use dead stock fabrics or up-cycle vintage materials as it minimizes waste, we use digital prints as it requires less water and contaminates less then other print methods and we use GOT certified fabric fibers as much as possible. We do made to order and small batch production to avoid dead stock and over production that will eventually turn into waste. Furthermore we off set our carbon foot print when we ship orders out.

As we grow as a business it is our mission to incorporate more sustainable practices into our brand such as using only 100% sustainable materials in every collection and only doing 2 collections a year to avoid over production and waste. These goal we will update as we reach each milestone.
